SHS teen selected for magazine cover

Conyers – Salem High School senior Rebekah-Love Hatcher was selected as the regional 2007 cover model for the annual publication, Prom Guide.
According to a statement released by Prom Guide publishers, she was chosen out of hundreds of applicants. Hatcher was selected as one of 12 finalists in an online vote of roughly 100,000 of her teenage peers.
Upon being selected, Hatcher was flown to New York to attend a photo shoot where she was pampered by makeup artists and hair stylists.
”I was not nervous at all,” she said. “I love to have my picture taken.”
Besides the opportunity to be viewed by more than 30,000 Atlanta-area teens, Hatcher was given the opportunity to interview with talent scouts while in New York. Hatcher has modeled since 2003 and plans to pursue modeling professionally after graduation. Right now, she’s just soaking up the attention of being a local celebrity.
”Being chosen for this cover has brought me to the attention of people who did not even know me,” she said. “I love it.”
