Prom Guide cover shoot was a once in a lifetime experience for the teen model search winners. This past November, Prom Guide Magazine flew 13 guys and girls from around the country to New York City for a day of glamour and photo fun! They participated in an all day photo shoot in a trendy Greenwich Village studio. They came from cities all across the country -- from California, Florida, and Tennessee, to Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, Georgia, New Jersey, and New York. Each of the 13 lucky guys and girls will appear on the cover of their region’s edition of Prom Guide®.
Every year, thousands of students enter online at www.promguide.com to compete in the teen model search contest. Entries for this year started coming in as early as January. Contestants were featured in Prom Guide’s ® newsletter, which gets distributed to thousands of teens each week. They also had their photos posted on PromGuide.com along with a brief description of themselves so viewers could go online, find out about them, and vote for their cover model of choice. Teen model search contestants earn points by accumulating votes online, and they can also earn extra points by securing sponsors. Through an online, interactive voting process, the 13 finalists were chosen. Naturally, they were each thrilled to make the final cut, and once they did, that was where the fun really began.
They were transported from their hotels to the photo studio in a prom limo bus. Then they were pampered from head to toe. They had professional makeovers, hair styling and wardrobe done by industry pros. They picked up some style and beauty tips to try out at home, and they each received an exclusive Prom Guide t-shirt that read, “Prom Guide Top Models.” By the time the last photo was snapped, the girls were a little exhausted, but thrilled just the same. They met new friends, had an once-in-a-lifetime experience and best of all, the two most photogenic models will receive a Prom Guide® academic scholarship for college! Each of the guys and girls did a fabulous job, and they deserve to be congratulated. As always, the cover shoot was a blast for everyone involved. And now, it’s on to next year. If you’re a member of the graduating class of 2009, be the first at your school to enter online. We’re taking submissions now. Go to www.PromGuide.com, and enter to have the time of your life!
