2008 Prom Guide
Cover Model
Samantha Mooney

When Samantha Mooney of Paul VI High School was requested by her peers to model for Prom Guide, she knew it would be a special event. And with a prom dress provided by Attitudes by Debra, prom shoes by Sizzle Shoes, and makeup by celebrity makeup artist Lazarus, she graces the cover with style. Featured with her is Jacob Johnson of Powell High School wearing Jean Yves. Prom Guide had a chance to chat with Samantha at the photo shoot.

Prom Guide: Where did you first hear about the Prom Guide teen model search contest & scholarship?
Samantha Mooney: I heard it through our school. They distributed papers with different websites to check out for scholarships.

Magazine: On a scale of 1-10 how psyched are you for the prom?
Cover Model: Very psyched. It’s the last year to have the time of my life.

Magazine: Is this your first experience in modeling?
Cover Model: Yes, for fashion. I won a contest to be on a billboard.

Magazine: Do you have a spa/salon day planned with your friends to do your hair or make-up?
Cover Model: Yes we all love doing spa days. We do them often, and its fun pampering ourselves & spending time together.

Magazine: So, very important question, which designer are you wearing?
Cover Model: I’ve been looking, and since the prom is a big thing at our school, I want to make sure I choose the right one.

Magazine: Have you already got a date for the prom, or are you going with a group from class?
Cover Model: Not yet. The prom is in May, so I still have some time.

Magazine: Other than class, how do you like to spend your time in school?
Cover Model: In the cafeteria with friends for our free period, eating or doing some homework.

Magazine: How would you say that you show “love” to your school?
Cover Model: I cheerlead for our school, so I am at all the football games. That shows my school spirit.

Magazine: When you’re not in school, where do you spend most of your time?
Cover Model: Usually with friends or family. I’m very close with both and like being around them.

Magazine: What are you and your friends doing after the prom?
Cover Model: The tradition at our school is to either go to the shore or the Poconos — we’re still deciding.

Magazine: If you could have your pick of a “dream date,” name the celebrity or star you would ask.
Cover Model: I’m a huge High School Musical fan, so Zac Efron would be my dream date.

Magazine: Where will you be going to eat after the prom?
Cover Model: The moms usually cook for us instead of going out to eat.
