2008 Prom Guide
Cover Model
Brittani Nolan

When Brittani Nolan of Thornton Township High School was chosen to represent her school and model for Prom Guide, she knew it would be a memorable time, and with a prom dress provided by Attitudes by Debra, prom shoes by Sizzle Shoes, and makeup by celebrity makeup artist Lazarus, she graces the cover with style. Featured with her is Joel Alvarez of Satellite High School wearing Jean Yves. Prom Guide had a chance to chat with Brittani at the photo shoot.

Prom Guide: Where did you first hear about the Prom Guide teen model search contest & scholarship?
Brittani Nolan: In the 2007 Prom Guide Magazine.

Magazine: On a scale of 1-10 how psyched are you for the prom?
Cover Model: 9, only because I am not nervous anymore. I attended last year’s prom

Magazine: Is this your first experience in modeling?
Cover Model: No, I have really been getting involved this year, and I am going to make it a career.

Magazine: Do you have a spa/salon day planned with your friends to do your hair or make-up?
Cover Model: No.

Magazine: So, very important question, which designer are you wearing?
Cover Model: I think, The Elise.

Magazine: Have you already got a date for the prom, or are you going with a group from class?
Cover Model: Yes, I have a couple of options that are planned.

Magazine: Other than class, how do you like to spend your time in school?
Cover Model: Volleyball, Student Advisory, peer mediation, Students Against Violence, Prom Committee, working as an office Aid, Senior Senate (VP of class 2008).

Magazine: How would you say that you show “love” to your school?
Cover Model: By getting involved. I am trying to make positive connections, not only with my class but underclassmen also.

Magazine: When you’re not in school, where do you spend most of your time?
Cover Model: At home, with my study group, or on my job at the mall.

Magazine: Do you have any plans with your friends for right after the prom?
Cover Model: No I don’t have any plans yet, other than we know we want to go out to eat.

Magazine: If you could have your pick of a “dream date,” name the celebrity or star you would ask.
Cover Model: I would ask Chris Brown because he’s around my age, and he has a down-to-earth personality like me.

Magazine: Where will you be going to eat after the prom?
Cover Model: No clue. Usually the only thing open is IHOP.

Magazine: Who would be the best band or artist for you and your classmates at your prom?
Cover Model: The best artist would maybe be Neyo, Ciara, Chris Brown; my classmates are in love with R&B artists.

Magazine: Graduation is upon you, do you have plans for college or work?
Cover Model: Yes, I am graduating in December so that I may save some money when I go to Spellman. Also, I will be getting ahead by taking some college courses early.

Magazine: If you had a time-machine and could teleport to the future 20 years, imagine and describe what you’re doing.
Cover Model: I imagine myself being at the peak of my modeling career and walking the runway. But at the same time I see myself being well respected because I did the right things at the right time.
