Fundraising Flower Bulbs
"The Perfect Prom Fundraiser"
Since most prom fundraisers are held late in the winter or very early in the spring we strongly suggest you consider selling fundraising flower bulbs.
Flower bulb fundraisers have become one of the fastest growing of the pre sell or brochure fundraisers available. A couple of things make it perfect for prom fundraising:
- Spring Flowers: If you are planning a fundraiser after your winter break you will find most supporters will embrace a flower bulb sale. As spring approaches so many people begin thinking about sprucing up their yards. It is a great time to show them your eight page flower bulb brochure and get them to pick from the 24 different choices.
- 50% Profit: When you sell flower bulbs you will make 50% profit no matter how many bulbs you sell. That means an individual can make the same profit percentage that a school would make. The only additional charge might be a freight surcharge on orders of less than 100 units of bulbs.
- Fall Programs: If you are looking for a fundraiser to pay for homecoming or if you just want to get an early jump on your prom fundraiser, flower bulbs will work then too. There are two different programs. The bulbs you sell in the fall are planted then to bloom in the spring. The spring bulbs are planted in the spring to bloom in the fall. Unlike some other prom fundraising options flower bulbs work well any time of year and even offer seasonally specific programs.
As with all prom catalog fundraising ideas, each participant in your fundraiser is given a free brochure, order form and cash collection envelope. The program does not require any money to be laid out in advance of your sale. You do not buy any products that have not already been sold. So there is really no risk at all in using this program as a great way to raise money to pay for your prom expenses.
