Prom Updos

When it comes to prom night for a girl, it’s all about the dress. You spend all that time shopping for the perfect prom dress and you look in the mirror each time you try on a different design. That’s when the questions come. Does this make me look fat? Is it too long or too short? How should I wear my hair? Most girls will experiment with different looks while they have the dress on to see what works best for them. Should you wear your hair up or down? Everyone is talking about prom updos. Is one of those the right choice for you?

The answer needs to come from within. The most important thing to think about for prom night is whether or not you will be comfortable. A prom updo has many benefits to it because it can keep your hair out of the way and show off the attractive upper bodice work of your prom gown. If you’re baring your shoulders and you’re comfortable with the way they look then show them off. A prom updo will highlight that feature for you.

Another factor to take into consideration is your facial features. Prom updos will highlight everything on your face. When you pull your hair back and up your eyes and nose will be clearly visible to all. Are you comfortable with them? Do you consider your facial features your best assets or would you prefer to show off flowing long hair? There’s no rule that says you have to wear a prom updo. Go with what gives you the confidence you need to make it through the night.

What will the weather be like on prom night? One of the other benefits of a prom updo is that it can take long hair out of the way and keep you cooler on a hot night. You don’t really need anything extravagant if you’re going to be a sweaty mess by the end of the evening. Again, the key element in the decision should be your comfort level. Go with something that looks and feels good. Make sure it matches your dress and have someone who knows what they are doing do your hair. Prom updos look great when they’re done right, but they’re a real headache if they come apart.
